If you build it…

January 5, 2010

“Everything that’s worth doing is worth doing wrong” said Brian Isenberg while interviewing Seth Godin.  It got me to think how everything that is done to achieve greatness has just as much of a chance of becoming that great of a failure too.  And I realized how barely a decade ago Social Media as we know today was nothing but a concept, but since its popularity it has been one of the most precious yet priceless commodities to human race to sustain relationships and is crucial to productivity of businesses.  Social media provided a field/space to everyone to come forward not only explore what had been unknown but to express their own selves.  It provided a remarkable accessibility to new opportunities. Over the years one after another social media sites became popular not only showcasing every type and size of businesses and individuals, but also channeled two way communications for all.  Leaving just a few behind and skeptical it seems, the future may only remember those who took the opportunity and used the social media to make their mark.
